Considering Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
Most people don’t plan on finding themselves in a situation where bankruptcy is an option. If you or your family have experienced a job loss, pay cut, unexpected medical expenses, a divorce, or a combination of these factors then a Chapter 7 bankruptcy may help you. Bankruptcy is a tool created by the Federal government to help eliminate or consolidate your debt so you can repay those debts over a period of time.

Bankruptcy provides relief from the harassing phone calls, lawsuits, wage garnishments, vehicle repossessions and foreclosure actions.  Once your bankruptcy petition is filed, Federal law provides that your creditors must cease from contacting you to try and collect the debt.

If you qualify for relief under Chapter 7, you may be able to keep your home, your vehicles, and majority of your personal possessions. Under a Chapter 7, you are allowed to exempt, or keep, a majority of your personal and real property depending on the value of those assets. I will sit down with you and discuss what your assets and liabilities are and if any of your assets will need to be liquidated by the bankruptcy Trustee to pay toward your creditors.

My office represents clients throughout the Chicago metropolitan area including Kane County, McHenry County, DuPage County, Lake County and Cook County.
